Your pet can stop eating for many reasons and these include fever, gastrointestinal irritation, problems in the mouth or teeth, stress or separation anxiety or even kidney disease or liver disease. Pets that don't eat for more than 48 hours - especially older dogs and cats or puppies and kittens - can become dehydrated and may require veterinary attention. If your pet is not overtly unwell and your local clinic is open please contact them for assistance.
If your pet is clearly unwell and your local clinic is closed we are here to help. If you are in the Greater Melbourne area or surrounds please call 9092 0400 for veterinary assistance.
